RSD in Motion: Ohio Branch

The "Walk-n-Roll" for RSD raised over $1,400 for RSDSA!!!!!!  Thank you everyone!

Providing hope and support for anyone and everyone affected by RSD.

The Ohio Branch:

Ohio's Team is pioneered by seventeen year old Colleen Bartman.  She was diagnosed with RSD in 2004 after several gymnastics and dancing injuries.  She is teamed up with Jordan, the founder of RSD in Motion and leader of the Michigan Branch, Lauren, the leader of the Illinois/North Carolina Branch, Amanda, the leader of the Pennsylvania branch, and Blakelee, the leader of the Alabama Branch.  Our goals are to spread knowledge about RSD and its severe affects, raise money for research for RSD, and to provide support for those who are affected by the illness.  Jordan, Lauren, Amanda and Colleen know each other through their RSD illness.  Because they've been through the terrible treatments, rehabilitation, and affects of RSD, they have agreed that they don't want any other person to suffer from this painful syndrome.

Fortunately, Colleen got a TEC (tunneled epidural catheter), in November of 2007.  It was a tremendous success; Colleen is now in remission!

If you are personally affected by RSD or knows a loved one with this condition, you know how life altering RSD can be.  By joining RSD in Motion, together we can inspire, encourage, and provide hope for those affected by reflex sympathetic dystrophy and hopefully all RSD sufferers can go into remission, too.

On June 1st, Colleen was awarded the Above and Beyond Community Service Award by Hawken Upper School for her hard work on the RSD in Motion organization!

Recently, Colleen Bartman published an article in Gem Magazine, a magazine showcasing high school students' successes.  She published an article in her school newspaper and had a short article on her school's website.  These articles help raise awareness for RSD.
